Paraquat, an internationally banned toxic chemical substance founded in the 1930s, is widely used throughout the United States as a herbicide for weed and grass control. This product is also known, since the 1960s, to have scientific links to neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson’s. There are presently multi-billion dollar lawsuits involving numerous plaintiffs seeking to hold the product’s manufacturers, Chevron and Syngetic, liable for knowingly distributing such a hazardous product amongst the masses for consumption.
